Only 20 years old and already the remixers of prominent of pop luminaries such as Kylie Minogue, Mika, and Yelle, BeatauCue are stepping things up even further in 2012 by setting off on a mini world tour as well as by introducing to us a mini mix.

Scheduled to drop on April 9th, “Slow Down“, BeatauCue’s first original composition this year and the raison d’etre for a whole EP’s worth of tracks, features a positively infectious hook, courtesy of vocalist Kenzie May, and some seriously deep, housey synths. Given a series of remixes all its own, the track vibes techno goodness on one of its iterations and Calipso booty bass on another. All in all, Slow Down’s pop power maintains throughout and because we think you’re going to want to play this disc over and over the way we just did, we’re sharing a miniature set the band created to preview their remix EP right here:

Ahead of the release of their newest creation the French duo, also known as Alexis and Mederic, have brought their youthful genius Stateside for a series of tour stops that began in L.A. last night and will continue thoughout the country and the continent till the end of the month. BeatauCue will then press on for a series of dates down under and in Japan. You can see the full set of dates just below.

BeatauCue‘s “Slow Down” remix EP is out next month via Kitsuné and the band will be part of a phenomenal roster of acts in Austin at the SXSW Showcase version of the Kitsuné Club Night U.S. Tour this Friday, March 16th.
