Of the various collaborations attempted on the Re:Generation documentary, the most successful was easily Mark Ronson’s meeting with Zigaboo Modeliste for a version of New Orleans classic “A La Modeliste” recorded with Trombone Shorty, Yasiin Bey and Erykah Badu. Only Modeliste and Badu made it to Letterman, but the still hit it out of the park, with even grumpy Dave showing more excitement than usual.
