This weekend was filled with great joy for many Coachella fans, and great sorrow for many more as the annual Southern California festival sold out all of the tickets for both weekends in record time. After last year’s record breaking sell-out for one weekend, Coachella added a second identical weekend event to double the amount of tickets available to fans. But it seems demand grew faster than supply as music heads (and probably a few wannabe scalpers) swarmed the internet on Friday in the search for tickets to see headliners Radiohead, The Black Keys and Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg, along with the reformed At The Drive-In and Refused.
For those who did score the coveted wristbands, even more good news came via Flying Lotus’ Twitter account. The SoCal fave announced via his Twitter that he is “Going to present the new album at coachella 2012.” Even more acts are expected to be added in the coming weeks.
