Australia’s top rank hip-hop producer M-Phazes and legendary turntablist DJ Rhettmatic of the World Famous Beat Junkies, join forces for the release of Phazed Out. Set for a February 14th digital release date and a February 28th physical release date, the project is a compilation of select singles taken from Coalmine Record’s catalog, remixed by the Aria Award winning M-Phazes and blended to a seamless perfection by the former DMC West Coast Champion, Rhettmatic. The compilation is reminiscent of the mixtape-style album, circa both the Soundbombing volumes (Rawkus Records) and Beat Junkie’s mixtape series that reigned supreme during the late 90’s. Phazed Out breathes new life into many of the boutique label’s previously released material, including their inaugural single “The Raw”, featuring heavyweight emcees Saigon, Inspectah Deck of the Wu-Tang Clan and Brooklyn’s-own Bekay. This fast paced forty plus minute mix includes an impressive roster of guest features that epitomize the climate of today’s underground hip-hop scene, such as Big Noyd, Phil The Agony, Termanology, Sadat X, Heltah Skeltah, CL Smooth, Skyzoo, Masta Ace, Brown Bag AllStars, El Da Sensei, Mela Machinko, J-Live and more. To boot, the mix is adorned with drops between song blends from several iconic hip-hop producers.
