BACK IN MY DAY…
- I feel like guys making dancefloor music aren’t able to convey the sweaty, deep, dance-for-hours-till-the-morn feeling we had in the ’90s and ’00s. All of today’s music is beautifully produced and clean (or purposefully filthy), but that primalness is gone.
- As an old head who grew up listening to EDM, real hip-hop and going to drum & bass parties, it’s awesome to see the merging of electronic and hip-hop on a major scale. I feel like this is the type of music that we all wanted a decade ago and had to go to all-night parties to hear. Young heads better recognize that we were dancing to this stuff when it was being spun at 5AM at a back room rave.
