Red Bull’s Thre3style’s World Finals heats began it’s initial international auditory melee at Bar None, in Vancouver, Canada. Of the 18 world qualifying DJ’s, the initial heat featured Norway’s FMC, Bolivia’s Javier Rossell, Australia’s DJ Perplex, and last year’s runner up Nedu Lopes of Brazil. With the quartet of mix-masters eyeing a spot in the final heat to be held this Saturday, four equally jaw dropping performances had the audience whipped up into a frenzy.
After the dust settled, however, it was Brazil’s Nedu Lopes who advanced past his qualifying heat during Red Bull Thre3style’s initial auditory melee. Lopes, a tough act to follow, opened the four man heat, rocking his version of ‘Black and Yellow’ remixed into a Brazil repping ‘Green and Yellow.’ With eyes fully locked at capturing the crown which narrowly eluded him last year, Lopes had this to say, “…the competition is not over, let’s see [what happens] Saturday.”
Words cannot really describe some of the auditory delights that were displayed during this heat, so we got our partners to link us up with all four sets… My personal favorite was FMC’s finale, but you’ll have to peep that yourself to see what I’m talking about.
Also… there’s still a few hours to score the last pair of tickets… Just retweet/comment/or hit us on on twitter @URBMag for a chance to win…
