Broadcast co-founder James Cargill has told Under the Radar magazine that he is working on a new album, the first since the death of vocalist Trish Keenan in January. According to Cargill, the album will feature vocals by Keenan recorded before her passing.
“Trish left a lot of tapes, four-tracks and stuff, and I’ve been going through those,” Cargill says in the interview. “It’s difficult, and I’m connected to it at the same time. It’s wonderful, but I’m also feeling a sense of loss.”
Cargill revealed that many of the tapes date back to the genesis of Broadcast’s seminal 2003 Warp Records album, Haha Sound.
