The Los Angeles trio Pollyn releases the second single from their latest album, “Living In Patterns.” “Sometimes You Just Know“, a funky, atmospheric pop jam is one of the more “fun” songs Pollyn has ever recorded, equipped with prominent handclaps, loud cowbells and an army of 20 people singing the chorus.
The video shows the band’s versatility by sidestepping their usual art-based visual aesthetic for something more straightforward. Shot over the course of 3 days on over 25 roller coasters and thrill rides, the concept was to capture the “fun” of the rides while capturing the “fun” of the song. Doing this meant riding roller coaster over and over again. Using a Go Pro camera and the steady hand of Pollyn live drummer/roller coaster master Brian Henspeter, the video shows what it’s like to try to sing a song, keep your composure, while being turned upside down.
