In the coming weeks, the New York-based producer Ducky, AKA Morgan Neiman, will be releasing her upcoming EP Boys Club via the Ducky Bandcamp page. Ducky will unleash one track every week for 15 weeks, eventually culminating in the release of Boys Club as a fierce and cohesive mix on January 21st. With a combination of bad-girl wit and catchy pop sensibility, the NYU student and DJ has crafted a collection of eccentric beats punchy enough to break into the male-dominated beat scene. Hot on the heels of Killing Time/Your Ever After, Boys Club takes aim at the gaping hole in the music industry where competent, intelligent and distinctly original female producers should be, arming itself with screwed bassocentric vocals and thinly-veiled audio samples from porn videos.

Ducky, a San Francisco native, has been producing since age 13. Now 19, she has begun to build a name for herself in downtown New York with her recent performances at the Bunnyjawn CMJ Showcase and Roxy Cottontail’s Halloween Party with Trouble Andrew at Santos Party House. During a recent trip to Paris she filmed a visually arresting and odd video for “Windup Bird,” a track from her Glamorous Gutter EP that showcases her talent as a songwriter and her creative, all-encompassing approach to producing.
