Last week we got pumped on DJ Premier and Nas’ collaboration with a symphony orchestra as part of the new film, Re:Generation, which pairs successful producers with musician’s outside of their usual orbit. Today, it’s Mark Ronson‘s turn, who came together with Erykah Badu, Mos Def and Trombone Shorty to record “A La Modeliste” down in New Orleans. Of course, working with vintage sounds isn’t really a new thing to Ronson, but the song sounds like it was straight lifted off an episode of Treme, which is a good thing.
