More specifically, the Berlin-based electro-rocker says the magazine’s annual Top 100 DJs List can snack on some male genitals in response to the lack of female jocks who made the reader-voted list. How many ladies did make the cut? Zero.
Peaches posted on her Facebook, “DJ MAG! Your Top 100 DJ boy club list can eat a dick! Where the ladies at???”
The 2011 list is topped by Guetta (big shock) and followed by the Tiëstos, Deadmau5s and Swedish House Mafias of the DJ world, before opening up to a mix of dance music icons (Hawtin, Morillo, Digweed), newer trance stars you might not have heard of (Angerfist, Tenishia, Pete Tha Zouk) and Daft Punk, who came in #24 despite the fact that the duo haven’t taken to the turntables in over a decade.
The question is, of course, what female DJs should have made the list? Tell us in the comments section.

Castle I believe everything published made a ton of sense. However, what about this? what if you added a little content? I ain’t suggesting your content is not solid., however suppose you added a post title to maybe grab folk’s attention? I mean %B…
I comment whenever I like a post on a website or if I have something to add to the discussion. Usually it is caused by the sincerness displayed in the article I read. And on this article %BLOGTITLE%. I was actually moved enough to drop a commenta respo…
Reid Speed needs to be on that list! She not only dj’s and produces but also has her own labels, Play ME and Play ME too with several Big EDM acts
[...] However, I think the public statements about this only hit the tip of the iceberg. Peaches told DJ mag to go eat a dick – which I think is placing blame in the wrong place, although personally I appreciate her [...]
DJ BeXta from Australia
DJ Mystikle Blue should be on that list.
She’s a DJ based in Birmingham UK. She’s the first female DJ in the UK to reach the National finals of King of the Decks in 2010. She volunteers as a radio presenter, produces, sound engineers and sings. This girl should be on the list, she kills it everytime on the decks. Check this out

I agree that DJ mag voting has become a PR&popularity poll. However, I think the negative attitude of ppl (who claim to be elder fans of electronic music and blame the mechanics of this list) does not reflect the whole picture.
Skip Guetta, I do not like any part of his music or productions, in my opinion he is just a pop icon making collaborations with other pop icons using simple sounds. BUT, I think that it does not change the fact that he is an icon, and this simple fact makes him deserve a place in top 10 in that list. I mean, whether you and I like it or not, his music touches millions of people and that should be one of the most important parameters when it comes to rate a musician. (I am not saying thats all it is, but pls dont underestimate that)
On the other hand, Armin is a legend imo. You might not like Mirage album, you might blame him for losing his style etc. But ladies and gentlemen, this guy has been running a radio show, which has been an icon in the dance music community over the last decade and besides his kickass productions (pls admit that he has or at least he had lots of them), he is a figure of compilations. So, who has done more than him last year? Maybe you can come up with a couple names, but I believe it is unfair to blame these kind of producers like Armin with being popular or doing popular music.
There might be lots of talented DJ’s, maybe some of them are more talented than Armin, Guetta, Tiesto etc,
Let’s say, actually I am the biggest talent in the whole world (hypothetically), but I am the only one who knows it. So, is anyone to blame? Is Armin,Guetta,Tiesto to blame or is DJ Magazine to blame for that?
The logical fact is that the list is sensible because it reflects general opinion, whether you despise it or not.
