The most interesting thing about this new track from Major Lazer is the constantly shifting beat, which hopscotches between stadium fist-pumping techno, baby elephant walk polka and booty-dropping dancehall every 16 bars. The song, which made it’s debut on Zane Lowe‘s BBC 1 show this weekend, lacks the hooks that made us love the first Major Lazer record. But it gives an indication that messieurs Switch and Diplo might have some new tricks up their sleeve when the follow-up drops sometime soon.
