Dublin, Ireland’s All City Records and Paris representative, Onra are proud to announce Onra’s next album release, “Chinoiseries Pt. 2” dropping on November 15th.
“Chinoiseries Pt. 2” is the follow up instrumental album to his 2007 LP, “Chinoiseries,” which had Onra scouring Chinese and Vietnamese vinyl to create a themed instrumental hip-hip beat journey. Five years later and a few more trips back to South East Asia, Onra is preparing to release the second edition of this series, which features 32 instrumentals all sampled from various vinyl found during these various trips. Although born in France, Onra is part Vietnamese and this project is partially served as a way to connect with his motherland, while paying tribute to all the amazing music that surfaced from that particular region. Finally, “Chinoiseries Pt. 2” flexes Onra’s ability to dive into various musical genres and styles, switching things up from his critically acclaimed 2010 release, “Long Distance,” which was more of a future-funk / boogie excursion.
