Gensu Dean has signed a multi-project deal with Mello Music Group!!

A new 7″ with Large Professor will be released in January 2012 and his debut album “Standard Life” is set for a February 2012 release.

Based out of Dallas, Texas, Gensu Dean is a producer who has been quietly laying down some heavy tracks. His first production credits were on Crooked Letterz, David Banner’s debut record “Grey Skies.” Since then Dean has had production featured on Brand Nubian’s Lord Jamar’s “The 5% Album” and Sadat X’s “Black October,” and Melatone’s “Memoirs & Melodies.” Gensu Dean has been called upon by labels to remix projects from CL Smooth to Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Dean is known for his classic use of the Emu SP1200, the result of which has earned him co-signs from legends like DJ Spinna, DJ Premier and the King of Rock, DMC of the world renowned Run DMC. His debut album is ready for 1st quarter release and promises to have heads spinning with a dense line-up of classic emcees over top of some rugged production.

Gensu Dean was called upon a few years back to remix the “American Me” album from CL Smooth. The project was never officially released, but the stellar collection of remixes did garner some attention from serious heads. To celebrate Dean’s signing to Mello Music Group and the release of his upcoming album “Standard Life,” Gensu Dean decided to bless future fans with the complete CL Smooth “American Me” remixes.
