Oddisee’s “Rock Creek Park” is officially everywhere today on CD via Mello Music Group!!
Primarily an instrumental effort, the album is dedicated to Washington D.C.’s famous park, which provided huge inspiration to Oddisee’s development as a child all the way up to today. The album debuted at #15 on the iTunes Hip Hop charts and has been garnering positive attention across the boards.
Today, enjoy the free download of the vocal version for the track “Mattered Much” featuring singing by Olivier Daysoul on vocals and Oddisee on the raps. “Mattered Much” was not made for “Rock Creek Park” initially, but after putting together nine songs for the album, Oddisee went back into the hard drive, rediscovered this song, and realized it was perfect for the project. Oddisee is really proud of the drum programming on the track, programming various drum rolls throughout the song and also features live guitar played by Andy Faus and strings by Lucan Pipkin. This vocal version is not on the album, but is a special treat in celebration of the album release.
