Flud Watches presents the first “Beats Per Minute” video featuring Lord Finesse in celebration of their “BPM.” Watch as part of their new summer collection. The “Beats Per Minute” Video Series showcases some of hip hop’s most influential producers highlighting their craft, while discussing changes in the game, crate diggin’, equipment and their advise to the new generation.
In this video with legendary producer, Lord Finesse, he talks about his crew DITC and their production techniques, and their keen ear for a particular sound when it came to listening for samples. The various producers within the crew created their own individual sound, while also garnering a unified sound that influenced and shaped the sound of hip hop for years to come. Lord Finesse recalls going to record conventions and spending $2000-$3000 on records, looking for specific sounds to sample for his beats, while touching on some of his favorite current-day producers like Jake One, Nottz, DJ Spinna, and others.
