The all-seeing eye-from what I’ve seen on Youtube-is the key to all the world and also an ingredient used to season the Illuminati conspiracy videos.

If you watch a good video you’ll see that for some reason a lot of things use or reference it. It’s odd because it is usually not referenced through spoken word. Some people argue it’s a symbol for Satan; some say it’s a reference to a “big brother”; some say it’s mind control; some say it’s like a gang sign and those who use it are thanking their occult secret society that helped them get to where they are–some just say it’s the light and gaze of God. Whatever you think it means matters but not as much as the fact that its reference is everywhere lurking in the back of films or visual works like a shadow.

In some ways BeatauCue is much like the all-seeing eye. The list of people that they’ve remixed is extensive, long and sometimes ridiculous–in a good way, of course. Not many people have remixed everyone from Brodinski & Noob; Two Door Cinema Club; Kylie Minogue; Armand Van Helden & Steve Aoki; Yelle and all without having released much original work themselves. BeatauCue is mostly known in Europe and some people here know of their work more than their name but like the all-seeing eye, they are hanging above what they helped to recreate. You can catch their second EP Falcon Punch out on Kitsuné out July 4th and their first North American tour in October.
