MESS KIDD = NEXT LEVEL. HOLY SHIT.
MessKid Remix is bombbbbbbbb
Listen to the MESS KID remix on the Yeahsayer player. Thats the best one if you ask me, it sounds sexy and has an impressive flow start to finish
Bay West!!! I would go to bisco just to see his set!
Supa P Remix!!!
what’s the deal w. the ratings out of 10…what is that based on?
yeah how does it work? Some dudes who have one vote and are brand new somehow have 10/10?
Sir Charles needs to win this, his is by far the best sounding, I love the smooth transitions he hooks up.
I wish I could download a copy of his remix!
smooth transitions…. like keith stone
Half of these are missing stems. Yeasayer has no vocals, the biscuits one has no drums. pretty terrible.
I participated last year, def not worth it. 110% bs
Hey Ash,
Sorry to hear about your frustration. Apologies as we just put the stems we get from the bands up into the widget. That said, here is the immediate download link for the Biscuits drums stem: https://www.yousendit.com/download/UnlES3hRcG9ENlJFQlE9PQ. We’re working on the Yeasayer main vocal stem and will get it uploaded asap.
Best,
Greg

This contest is fucking bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some loser won it last year that had barely any votes, and the production was sub par at best.
Don’t waste your time.
I agree, most of Urb’s contests are pretty bullshit. Same goes for the Moogfest contest. What i’ve found is that for most of these “contests” the winner they usually choose is from the same town as where the Festival is being held. Probably because they expect the local crowd to come support (read: buy more tickets).
Also the worst part, is that they don’t even announce the winners until something like the week of the contest. HA! Good luck trying to buy a plane ticket across country 3 days before the show. $250 travel fee, more like $800
Hey Bob,
Sorry to hear of your frustration. Just to be clear, the judging panel doesn’t know where the submitters are from. Note the Bisco remix contest winner last year was from Philadelphia and had a great time at the festival. Hope you still submit a remix and feel free to email me if you want any more information about the remix contests we host.
Best,
Greg
