Those disappointed by the absences of The Rapture this past weekend might be please to know that the new date set for The Rapture is Sept 6, 2011. On that day, the original Brooklyn disco-punks will release their third album, In The Grace of Your Love, their first since 2007’s Pieces of the People We Love.

For the new album, the now three-piece group (bassist/singer Mattie Safer departed in 2009) went into the studio with Philippe Zdar of legendary french dance groups La Funk Mob and Cassius. The album will be released by DFA, marking a return to the imprint that released The Raptures earliest singes, including the genre-defining “House Of Jealous Lovers.”
