A while back ago I had stayed up and was on the hunt to kill time before the lil’ sleep fairy took me away. Somehow I ended up finding this documentary called The Day Before Disclosure and it was a movie discussing aliens and UFO’s. I think for me one of the key points being made in the film is that aliens have been pretty much coming to earth to make sure we don’t end up destroying ourselves and surveying what the planet and its people are like. There were several occurrences where people from the military had spoken out and talked about how many times these unidentified aircrafts seemed to be scanning the land and there was also a lot of them in military bases, etc. But for me there was a scene that really got my attention and this was when they got to discussing people being abducted and what kind of things they saw. There was a woman who said that she basically saw human and alien hybrids, a daycare like area with babies and all this other stuff. For me I began to think about what if aliens and humans were to live together and how love and human relationships might change.
I emailed Johan Agebjörn and basically asked him to make a mixtape inspired by interspecies love because the cover for his extremely popular single “Watch the World Go By” shows an ominous illustration of people looking down on a planet from a purple spaceship. Listening to most of Johan’s music you feel a sense of equality, respect and longing. While these may be human attributes I think sometimes the ideas themselves become alien/foreign to many of us.
