Much like Tom Waits before them, the indie rap collective better known as Fake Four, Inc. is big in Japan. When disaster struck recently in the form of earthquake, tsunami and nuclear devastation, Japanese emcee Kaigen reached out to the Connecticut-based label to help in the relief effort. The result is a four track EP featuring impassioned narratives and beats from the likes of Sole, Myka9, Ceschi, Awol One, Moka Only, Factor, Jared Paul, Radical Face, Leif Kolt, Gregory Pepper and greencarpetedstairs. Eight bucks gets you the J-A-P-A-N EP with all proceeds benefiting Relief International’s efforts to help survivors in Japan. Great music for a great cause.
