About two years ago, a young and still-blossoming Fat Tony unexpectedly found himself being nominated as one of the most anticipated artists to blow by URB on their Next 1000 list, and was URB accurate in its prediction? Well, considering the fact that Houston’s now most distinguished and acclaimed underground rapper has since opened for Wu-Tang, gained respect from none other than UGK legend Bun B and released his debut album produced entirely by Supreeme’s Tom Cruz, one could definitely say so.
And he doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon; having gained such a fiery momentum since the October 2010 release of RABDARGAB, Anthony Obi is well on his way to becoming an underground household name and he has two upcoming videos under his belt to prove it. The videos will be for two singles off the aforementioned debut (“Ni**a U Ain’t Fat” and “Home”) and will soon be coming to a computer screen near you.
