Tahiti 80 Premiere Clip for “Darlin” (Video)

Sounding like their usual French dream-pop selves, Tahiti 80 are bringing in a fresh breeze of the tropics (or Parisien cool) with the sites and sounds of their new video for the single “Darlin”. The first track off the sextet’s upcoming “The Past, The Present, & The Possible” LP, the video for the optimistically-entitled album’s first single bodes a mixture of crisp, hand-drawn animation and breathy, self-reflective pop-music tones. As a story of Adam and Eve and a basic retelling of the all too familiar pangs of heartbreak the 3 minute and 20 second clip is already one of the freshest videos to be released this year.

Aside from dropping “The Past, The Present, & The Possible” on February 22nd, Tahiti 80 will also kick off the following series of U.S. tour dates in Chicago on March 6th:

03/09: Chicago, IL @ The Abbey
03/10, New York, NY @  Mercury Lounge
03/12:  San Diego, CA @ Bar POink
03/13:  San Francisco, CA @ Rickshaw Stop
03/14:  Los Angeles, CA @ Troubadour
03/16:  Austin, TX @ SXSW (512 Rooftop)
03/17:  Austin, TX @ SXSW (Klub Krucia)
03/17:  Austin, TX @ SXSW (French BUREX Party Brush Square)
