On their last album release—2007’s In Ghost Colour—Australian electro-popsters Cut Copy musta toured the states 3-4 times, each go around playing for bigger audiences as word of mouth slowly grew them from another hipster act playing small rock clubs to a serious ticket selling machine at significantly larger venues. We call it “pulling a Phoenix,” even though the group has yet to max out Madison Square Garden. Maybe with the new album, Zonoscope, dropping on February 8, these guys could just be one Cadillac commercial away from serious stardom.

Here’s the full world tour schedule. The U.S dates start with an appearance at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival on 3/26. Notice the distinctly empty Friday 4/15 and Sunday 4/17 (with a San Fran show on the 16th). We wonder what West Coast music festival might be happening that weekend?
