Portishead, er, head, Geoff Barrow went on a bit a Twitter rampage earlier this week, discussing the bands forthcoming album which they are currently recording. While not quite a Kanye worthy screed, the most vocal third of the UK three-piece did have some definate opinions about what the band will NOT to when it comes time to promote the new record. He doth tweeted:

Of course, we don’t recall Portishead ever doing these things in the past, so perhaps Barrow is railing against threats perceived rather than real. Or maybe he jst got out o an annoying meeting with some record label hacks. Either way, given the fact that Portishead is indeed active so soon following the decade plus break they took before 2008’s Third, it all feels like “bonus” material to us.
