Ever since Outkast’s birth, it’s been known that Big Boi (one 1/2 of the legendary hip-hop group, the other half being Andre 3000…duh) is far from the typical rapper. With a career that spans about two decades, the Atlanta native released one of the best albums of the year, had some critically acclaimed live performances, and managed to nab two grammy nominations. I sat down with “The Son Of Chico Dusty” after his show with Chromeo’s Dave 1 in New York to talk about why his new album was delayed, what a Big Boi Christmas is like, and what happens to people that criticize his dog breeding.
Big Boi’s album, Sir Luscious Left Foot..The Son of Chico Dusty, is available now on iTunes.
