SF usually exists as the ignored middle child to NYC’s elder status and LA’s youthful energy. But Blow Up SF has been making been making a racket worth listening to since it was hip to dance to Bloc Party and pretend to fall down drunk when facing a camera. Promoters Jeffrey Paradise and girlfriend Ava prove that the city by the bay has more to offer than hippies, junkies and rave girls in butterfly wings.

Thanks to everyone who voted for EDC and to URB for keeping dance music on the radar for two decades. We are truly honored by this award. The fans, performers and everyone involved in EDC made it a memorable year. And for those of you who can’t make the L.A. show in 2011, we’re bringing EDC to a few other special cities too.

And Kanye is a musical genius?? Come on.. Some of his beats and sample definitely get my respect, but unfortunately his stupidly huge ego overshadows that fact. And please don’t compare him to the beatles in any way… True, everyone may want to hear what the new album sounds like, but that certainly doesn’t mean that nobody walks away disappointed. His newest album has only one redeeming facet, the song “Monster”. This is all just my opinion, Dont get all worked up you Kayne fanboys..
