CEE-LO – “FUCK YOU”

Some things are just universal. Like when Cee-Lo decides to deliver the catchiest song of the year, no one else even has a chance to compete. Who cares if you couldn’t play it on the radio. As proven by Cee-Lo and Atmosphere’s digital release taking Best Album honors, 2010 was the year you guys really stopped caring about traditional music releases entirely.
Runner Ups
La Roux – “In For The Kill”

Released waaay back in March of 2009, this electro-ballad made a household name out of Elly Jackson in America in 2010, even though most think her name is La Roux (who are actually a duo in the studio). With Grammy nominations in pocket, there’s a good possibility even more folks will be confused in 2011.
DUCK SAUCE – “BARBARA STREISAND”

A-Trak and Armand Van Heldan’s first releases as Duck Sauce in 2009 were fun if predictable retreads of ’90s filtered disco house. The same could be said for their third track, “Barbara Streisand” except for the fact that it’s also a “funk phenomenon.”
