Somewhere admist all of the retorspective list-making we like to indulge in come year’s end, it’s a good rule to come up for air and think about what might be getting good in 2011. Here’s a few key acts we’re rooting for come New Year’s Day.

ODD FUTURE

Fairfax High has always been a hotbed for cool, with no less than members of Guns N’ Roses, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and even friggin Phil Spector matriculating there. And as the area around the school has grown into ground zero for the first post-Millenial hip-hop aesthetic (re: The Hundreds, Supreme, Diamond Supply Co., Flight Club, Turntable Lab…), it’s not surprising that the 10 man crew of Odd Future would happen—building buzz from Low End Theory to UK style mags.
