URB Exclusive: Moving Units Premiere “Pink Redemption” (MP3)

Check out “Pink Redemption”, the new single on Moving Unit’s upcoming Tension War (their first release since 2007’s Hexes for Exes) which will drop next Valentine’s Day. Not to be confused with “Pink Thoughts”, their quintessential break-up song, or Pink’s rendition of “Redemption Song”, this new track reflects the band’s excogitation on the difficulties of trying to “harmonize the dualities in everyday life” — which I interpret as “Why is life so damn hard sometimes?!?!” Apparently, MU were downright motivational for 17 year-old Malaysian blogger GigKL: “THEY were the goddamn inspirations for me to start playing danceable beats…” GigKL describes herself as “a girl who strives with chocolate in her hands… spend[ing] endless hours singing along to bands at a gig” — an excellent mix with the tequila and cookies the band sometimes share at their sets. Yummy!
