It’s hard not to get in the mood for ugly sweaters and glühwein when Sarah Cracknell puts her pretty pipes on an album full of holiday cheer. Even Saint Etienne‘s less thematic work has always had a warm and fuzzy flare to it, so when the trio announced that they would release a full Christmas-themed album, the naughty but nicely titled A Glimpse of Stocking, we knew it would fire up the yull log in our hearts.

Here’s the first taste of the release that has already sold out via mail order and can only be found at the band’s three UK shows this weekend (or, um, the internet). See if doesn’t make you want to roast an extra batch of chestnuts.
