Basement Jaxx have spent the majority of 2010 prepping for the re-release of their classic ’90s Atlantic Jaxx material. But Felix and Simon have spent a little time in the studio as well, coming up with this new grinder, “Dracula,” that has more to do with the analog beatdown of electro-punks like Motor and proto-industrial innovators Suicide than the polyrhythmic housings of their early work. But then the vintage BJaxx dog whistle pitch comes in and you remeber it’s still the same guys trying to make you move.
