Is it wrong that erica and i feel like the canadian border guards are way more attractive and pleasant than the american ones? i dunno, let’s discuss.
At some point in time on the 12th we passed through the border into canada after having left pigeon johnny at a US hotel with a toothbrush, ipod, and skateboard. bureaucracy — ya know.
Erica and I were going to have to open for DJ Shadow without Pigeon John… OH MY GAWD. !!1!!1
Got to toronto, layered on the “Cosby sweaters” (it’s cold now), and did a great show with DJ Slippryfingr (… aka Adam the Tour Mngr) standing in. Erica’s material is loads of fun and the crowd was one of my favourites. it was mutual love.
so then all this stuff happened but because i generally tend to kinda float around like a little whispy fairy and not really pay attention to reality, all i remember is seeing a lot of good-looking people wearing black. so… toronto 1st impression = hot border guards + hotties in black = superficial(?) = who cares. squared.

now wait though! –> 2nd impression = we got to spend the night with a squeezey-pleasey-steezey adorable friend of Erica’s CURTIS SANTIAGO (www.curtissantiago.com) who introduced us to EVERTON MCDOUGALL of GSUS CLOTHING (also a man of the squeezey-pleasey-steezey variety… www.g-sus.com)!!!!!
Everton was so sweet to hook us up with some lovely new attire and we went merrily on our way to montreal…
– just that much more squeezey-pleasey-steezily than the day before.
