Tomorrow, California residents will take to the polls and push the lever on a historic ballot initative, Prop 19, that could legalise the sale, possesion and taxation of marijuana for personal use for anyone over the age of 21. And while Prop 19 is currently behind in the polls thanks to a well-funded push by corporate interests (booze, phamacutical) who will win if the measure loses, we at URB are wholey behind the sensible legalization of marijuana. So we’ve assembled a list of some of our favorite songs that pay tribute to Mary Jane. Please enjoy, and pass it around to your friends. If you live in California, PLEASE get out and vote for Prop 19. And if you don’t live in Cali, get out and vote anyways.

This was a classic song my friends and I used to listen to in high school, when we uh… played basketball.  With a nice heavy, rhythmic bass line, it was one of our favorite songs to bob our heads to, while we uh… played basketball.
