The folks over at HiFi Cartel take some of the best photos in music every single time they rock out with their cameras out, but the multimedia family have also collaborated with URB on video features, as well as have covered multiple events with URB support. Now, armed with a bass-fueled purpose, the HiFi Cartel massive present an event that will surely change the landscape of eclectic electronic parties in New York City. sub:culture, their debut venture into forward-thinking bass will feature URB favorites such as Hyperdub heroine Ikonika, juke-stunner Machinedrum and Dutty Artz don Matt Shadetek. This will be Ikonika’s 1st headlining appearance in NYC and we’re more than welcome to have the Queen of Kaka (self-appointed) presiding over the decks to turn heads and shake hips on the floor that night. Matt Shadetek will provide a color set of tunes from tropical, dancefloor, funky house and dubstep/garage flavors conceived in his own style. Finally, the night will close out with Machinedrum doing a special juke/footwork set to make every go absolutely crazy at the end of the night.
