Read my review on the nights hilarious ipad plug, crowd surfing, and a Feist “allowed to sing” telegram arrival.  So, read on…

His performance was filled with melody, drama, and harmony all while rocking a bathrobe and fuzzy slippers. Feist made an appearance and their chemistry was delightful to witness. Feist came on stage with a recorder playing her voice and mentioned that she was not “legally” allowed to perform in another venue because she had just performed at the Hollywood Bowl the previous night. That soon changed into the show when news of a  ”telegram” granting Feist permission was delivered. It was charming. Never have I seen a musical performer go to great lengths like pulling a stranger from the audience to play a note on the piano while he stood atop of it. Chilly Gonzales and Feist also crowd surfered. The front row got worked!!! I was in awe over how quaint the theatre was with a mellow and friendly atmosphere. Chilly made it seem as if I was hanging out in his living room just enjoying a delightful evening filled with laughs and good music. It was hilarious how he mentioned his “Never Stop” track featured in the new ipad commercial by takeing out an ipad and playing the track from it. Then he ended the plug with a go “buy a fucking ipad.”  I couldn’t help but blush when he mentioned to “tell your friends” that that’s his song in the commercial. The blushing came from the conversation we had during the interview I did with him where I let him know that I named dropped him to my friends during the ipad commercial. He entertained me. I felt priviledged to be invited and witness him in his zone. I now understand why he has had sold out shows in cities like Paris, New York and London. If you get the chance, I hope you make it out to one of his shows.  

Due to a wierd no recording device policy at Largo I was not able to record a glimpse inside the intimate and humorously improvised realm of his creativity last nite. So just so you can imagine how the vibe was I collected some youtube videos for your visual stimulation. Enjoy!
