Mhmmm, this video makes the song much more palatable for me, it makes me uncomfortable too because the diner resembles the one used in that Tina Turner movie where Ike shoves pie in her face. The video and song make for a Randy Newman-esque funk film and creates a funnier window which later turns into some odd rendition of Rock-A-Doodle , video below!

A huge pop infused summer jam with angst, bubble gum, and soul/funk goodness… and URB deems it barely palatable? Being counter culture is rough, you aren’t allowed to enjoy anything skating mainstream that isn’t on the “NEXT 100″… so curious what the author of the blog posting actually meant. The joys of the internet, reader comments longer than the article itself…perhaps “palatable” was a diner/food reference that went over my head… good times.
