Well don’t we feel foolish. Seems the biggest appeal of Cee-Lo’s viral hit song “Fuck You” was the complete and utter lack of radio and TV playability. No one could imagine this jawn making it on the airwaves. Well, the single comes out digitally today on Cee-Lo’s website, but we’re holding out for the clean version, “Forget You,” due out in the fall. Not since Snakes On A Plane was edited for television has we been so “monkey biting” excited.
It was also announced today that “Fuck You” is the lead single off of Cee-Lo’s next solo album, The Lady Killer, due out Dec. 7 on Elektra/Roadrunner Records.
