When URB interviewed Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard last winter about the band’s latest album, One Life Stand, the “bearded one” in the band promised some thumping remixes to come from the album. This is NOT that remix. Ghostly International’s best kept secret, Todd “Osborne” Osborn, divvies up Hot Chip’s already breezy vocal harmonies into a house groove so delicate you’re almost afraid to touch it. Add in a string melody reminiscent of The Cure’s “Just Like Heaven” and you’ve got pure seven minutes in heaven.
