Cut Chemist :: Grand Master Citizen /URBHD.tv (Video)

In the pantheon of turntable technicians, few have influenced the global community as much as Cut Chemist. From his days in Jurrasic 5 to his legendary 7-inch sessions with DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist has been at the forefront of what one can do with two turntables and a mix. For his latest project, the afro-influenced Sound of the Police, Cut Chemist actually loses one of the turntables and replaces it with a loop pedal, creating a DJ set like you’ve never heard before.

URBhd and Society Theory go inside the Cut Chemist lair to learn about the latest stage of evolution for this true innovator.

The storytellers of Society Theory present a new series of short documentaries entitled Grand Master Citizens. The term is a play on the latin phrase: Civis Magister Generalis — once used to describe the leaders and masters citizens.

Meant as a companion piece to their current ongoing series, Two Sides of Cool, this new set of longer short form pieces focus on people that have transcended the space of cool — focusing on those ‘Grand Master’s that have gone on to and continue to dictate the trends and growth in their respective creative fields.
