I interviewed Danny Masterson a.k.a DJ Mom Jeans on the steps of the Hilton last year where he gently informed me that in his NYC days he was really into music before he broke out as a model/actor/designer in LA. If you’ve ever heard him spin it’s kinda like your guiltiest pleasures all set into one set without sounding like the schizophrenic Girl Talk.
Today he released his remix for Broken Social Scene’s “All to All” which sounds partially like underwater ping-pong and INOJ’s “Love You Down”. Which is part of a weekly series of remixes being released from the incredibly busy group. It’s pretty beautiful to say the least, I was actually expecting to rag it on it but I have to give credit where it’s due. This is a great pre-fall song which will surely be played at many autumnal fêtes to come; if not just by me when I dance around the fire chanting to the moon.
