LA DJ Cut Chemist and local public radio powerhouse KCRW have a long running bro-mance that’s followed his career as a member of Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli to his more recent teamings with DJ Shadow and his solo sessions. So it’s little surprise that the renowned turntablist would debut his latest effort—the afro-brazilian influences Sound of the Police—on the ever popular album preview page of the stations website, KRCW.com.
The 41-minute session, created using just on turntable and a loop pedal, was recorded live from a practice session a few years back. You can also download the single off the release, “Adidas to Addis” here.
