Blame the internet and it’s obsession with lists that just declaring “Best Of”once a year is no longer enough. Still, given the far shortened attention span of most of the music heads we know these days, perhaps taking stock twice-yearly of our favorite albums isn’t the worst thing in the world. Besides, no matter when you take stock, a great record always deserves a first, second or third listen.
10. Bonobo – Black Sands

(Ninja Tune) While Black Sands will by no means go down as the defining album of Bonobo’s career, it is certainly a winner. Full of lush, spacey melodies influenced by everything from middle-eastern to trip-hop, Bonobo provides one of the most pleasantly listenable albums of 2010. Guest vocalist Andreya Triana leaves her mark, particularly on the unforgettable “Stay the Same.” Zach Cole

The ArchAndroid is a boring album that fizzles and bursts, but never fully explodes. Clearly your ears are damaged if you regard it as a “good album”.
Janelle Monae’s the ArchAndroid is an effin MASTERPIECE!!
