Last month PacDiv celebrated the “Don’t Mention it” mixtape release with a party hosted by Nike sportswear on the Montalban theater rooftop in the heart of Hollywood. I was in attendance with fans and friends alike enjoying the open bar sponsored by Belvedere. Dealing with a photog snafu, new friend Benny Cassette came through and linked me up with equally funny and sweet PacDiv manager who came to the rescue. Hearing rumors that the LIVE performance would be cancelled, PicDiv hit the stage setup in front of the Madsteez mural. The performance was a go and PacDiv stomped the doubt and lit up the crowd. The roof was thumping with the beats from tracks like “Shine,” and “Rollin.” A typical cool Cali summer evening hosting a hot and dark atmosphere, with only the surrounding building signs and ad banners providing the light. Early fans were given exclusive PacDiv and Nike sportswear tees. The Lensly photo booth was posted up on the rooftop that night snapping away. Too bad I did not take advantage of a free photo session since I heard about it after the fact, but peep the event photos here.
