With everyone talking about Kanye’s “return to rap” on the upcoming Good Ass Job, it’s as good a time as any to look back at just how far Yeezy has stretched the three pillars the past few years. These photos taken from the just released Glow In The Dark II book—Shot during 2007’s Glow In The Dark tour and the subsequent 808s and Heartbreak listening party—show Kanye at the farthest reaches of his space-oddity. The book also comes with a CD of the instrumentals used on the tour—basically Kanye’s back catalog Star Wars-ified by Squeak E Clean (Sam Spiegel of NASA), and a video interview by Squeak’s brother and GitD consultant Spike Jonez. It makes us wonder if there was a third option for Kanye to follow if he tired of the space race but didn’t rush back to his hip-hop home.
