evite 308x400 Benefit Art Exhibit for Overton Loyd in LA Overton believes art can transcend the borders created by society and cultural differences. Born in Detroit, Overton is renowned for his stage shows, art, costumes, animation and album art for the funk/rock group George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic. The “art philanthropist” received a Billboard award for “Best Use of Computer Graphics” for the video “Atomic Dog.”

Starting this Saturday, April 10th, Creative Channel Arts and Catch-a-Dream Entertainment are hosting a benefit art exhibit for Overton. With music from DJ Phyz Ed and Norwood Fisher of Fishbone, the event runs from 5-10 pm and boasts a full bar and the Hit + Run crew will be screening tee shirts. The exhibit will be open every Sunday in April.
