From what I’ve heard so far, this Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek reunion album as Reflection Eternal has a good chance of being pretty damn good. The leaks have been dropping rather steadily since last summer, a mixtape came in January and now we finally have the (full version) of the first single, “In This World.” I can’t complain as both Talib and Hi-Tek are on top of their game. The beat utilizes a sample (where the hell is it from?) that just makes the whole track. Slow and deliberate, it just sets up a perfect “soundscape” for Talib to let the lyrics flow. If this is a preview to what the album, Revolutions Per Minute, is all about when it drops April 6th, color me interested.
