URB: This may be a trick question, but with changes and worries you had about releasing this newer sound, what is one thing you hope that fans and new listeners alike can take away from Black Light?
AC: I hope that people will listen with an open mind and listen to the whole. We need to reach not just people who were into GA before, but a whole new range of people who will get this new sound.
URB: Well ,thank you again for giving the readers upstairs in the northern hemisphere a few rays of GA sunshine. We can’t wait to have our summer back. Before I let you off the hook though, you have one last question on the lighter side. Some people say it’s peanut butter and jelly, some say coffee and cigarettes, maybe it’s electrons and neutrons, who knows? If two things can go hand in hand so well, then what goes best with Groove Armada?
AC: Coffee and cigarettes is a hard combo to beat. Groove Armada and lazers works pretty well, as you’ll soon find out…
URB: Now that I’d be down for! Thanks Andy, and we are stoked to see you guys so thrilled about the music again. I guess the only thing left to do is let the beat kick and ride.
This interview is dedicated to Ms. K.B. and Ms. T.M. both of whom started me on a long love of GA releases many, many years ago and brought the house down with me in numerous clubs and festivals on three continents. As we say in Australia, you two ladies are ace!
