One of Hip Hop’s most influential emcees is presently in critical condition, several sources say. Guru, one half of pioneering ’80s, ’90s and ’00s Brooklyn-based Hip Hop group Gang Starr suffered a heart attack this weekend, according to the emcee and producer’s sister Tricia.
DJ Premier called XM station Hip-Hop Nation and confirmed, stating “Guru IS in a coma and will go under surgery tomorrow afternoon.”
