How sleezy are Bodega Girls? Well, a Google search on this Boston-based dance-rock troupe brings up the thong-tastic cover of 2 Live Crew’s As Nasty As They Wanna Be. That’s the complete opposite of Googling my name, and finding a several photos of a smiling 30-smething gay couple, who I’m sure are very nice, but not my thing.

But you also find the cover photo from the amazing (and amazingly unknown) Kicking Giants album, which I love. But back to BG, they do the funky rock group thing in a way that manages not to be too campy (Scissor Sisters), too hippie (Phenomenal Handclap Band) or too white-boy soul (Jamiroquai). Like Goldielock said, it’s just right.
